Yoga Meditation oga Meditation Importance

Hi my name is Cass Naumann and this series is on Savasana or Meditation Relaxation which is the ending portion of yoga meditation class. So this is the most important aspect of yoga. Though sometimes people will look over it or try to skip out on it, it's the time where all the energy you put into doing all of your Asanas and postures where you get the most benefit from all of that after having worked everything up and released everything out, it's the time to just let your metabolism slow down, your heart rate slow down, just rest and relax. It's the time you get the most benefit in relaxation in calming your mind. So the way we would do this is what we call Corpse Pose. And you're just lying down flat on your back. You want to be really gentle with your body, just slowly rolling down to get into this position. Just lying flat on your back, unless you have virtue going, you need to put a pillow or something behind your head. And the legs are hip width apart, as like the feet fall, the arms at your side, palms up. And the head is tilted back just a little bit, eyes are close. And you're just relaxing. If you like, if you have a sweater or hood to your blanket, you can wrap it around you and a lot of times, people like to use a cloth or a t-shirt to place over their eyes, just to come darken from the lights or any noises and have deep in the relaxation. So this is the position that you would began your Savasana, your meditation and relaxation.
