Simple Meditation Techniques hat is Meditation?
In order to meditate properly, we need to define what meditation actually is for us. Meditation exist in almost every philosophical and religious system that has ever existed. There is, there is Buddhist Meditation, Samadhi. There's prayer in Christianity. No matter what kind of believe system you ascribe to, there's some kind of meditation that happens in that system. Academic definitions of meditation, they define it as a continued or persistence contemplation or sometimes they define it when religious and philosophical terms as religious or philosophical contemplation or devotional thought. So, when you're meditating, what you really want to do is sort of get the chatter in your mind to quiet and you want to be able to focus on one thing. It doesn't matter what it is. It can be a thought, a question, a problem, a physical sensation, as something you see, something you're watching a sound. It can be anything. The point is just to focus and contemplate.
