
Hi, I am Sharon Tessandori the owner of Barefoot Works Yoga Studio located in Lexington, Kentucky. I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village and I will be sharing with you some yoga poses that you can do with children. Yoga is a wonderful discipline that helps children to become stronger, more flexible and build endurance. It also helps to focus the mind and foster a position self-esteem. The following exercises and poses are designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11. It's important to know that these poses should be taught in a light hearted and encouraging manner. While practicing yoga with your child, please clear the area with any sharp or breakable items. Also be sure to check in with your child about how the poses feel. Nothing that you do should be uncomfortable or especially not painful. But most importantly breathe and have some fun.
