Yoga Poses & Meditation ow to Do Active Meditation

Have you ever wanted to try meditation but the thought of just sitting there still for a long period of time just drives you crazy? Well you don't always have to meditate in stillness. Namaste. I'm Cindy Mastry and we're going to talk about doing active meditation. There are many ways you can meditate. You don't have to be sitting still. You can do walking meditation. You can do running. You can do swimming, anything where you can just sort of zone out. Yoga and meditation is all about awareness, being aware of your body, your body in space and the world, the sounds and sensations around you. So any time for instance if you're walking, if you can just feel the feet on the ground, feel what the air feels like as it touches your skin, feel the air as it enters into your body and goes down into your lungs and then feel the warm air as it comes back up. This is bringing your sense of awareness into yourself, bringing your mind and breathing into yourself and being aware of what is going on around you so if you are not the type that can sit still for a long period of time, try some sort of motion that you enjoy doing and just totally zone out. One point in concentration, and that is still a perfect way to meditate and relieve stress and learn to relax. Namaste.
